On 16th April 2017, SSIET had organized a team building for committees at Damai central, Kuching with a total amount of 16 participants. This event aims to build team relationship and strengthen bonds between committees. The event started at 1.00 p.m. and ended at 6.00 p.m.
Happenings for the event are as follows:
1:00 pm
Participants gathered at Block A’s lobby. Each participant is asked to fill indemnity form and attendance list. Payment were made at the same time.
1:35 pm
Participants departed from Swinburne University of Technology, Sarawak Campus by carpooling.
2:00 pm
Arrival at Damai Central, Kuching. Before commence of activities, participants prepared themselves and settle down.
2:10 pm
The club president, Adrian Teo gave a welcome speech to everyone and the game masters, Doreen Wong, Tay Boon Hui, Francis Ting, and Nelson Loh gave brief explanation on the games and demonstrations. The committees are divided into 2 teams. The games consist of mind game and physical game. The mind games require both team to guess chinese proverbs which are given by the game masters and passed on through acting to team members in a line. The message must be passed on within 15 seconds.
The last person of the line is required to guess the answer correctly. It last for 3 rounds.
2.45 pm
The next game took place which is also similar to the first but this time, the acting is done by Nelson Loh and Francis Ting. Any team member who answer the quickest wins a point. This last for 5 rounds.
3:00pm
Free time for participants and refreshments were given.
4:30 pm
Participants gathered back at the open field for the next activity. Water balloons will be thrown and the team members will have to collect them. The team with the most water balloon wins the round.
5.00pm
The event ended and participants were packing up and getting ready for departure.
5.30pm
Departing to Swinburne University and arrived 30 minutes later.
