On 12 September 2018, SSIET held their second annual meeting for the second semester at Swinburne Sarawak G Block Room 407. The time was 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
The annual general meeting (AGM) started with Mr. Peter Ling, the newly-elected SSIET president's welcoming speech. He welcomed the attendees with a warm smile.
After that, Mr Jonathan Emmanuel Ho, also known as Jo-Ho, ex-SSIET president introduced SSIET to the attendees. He also explained about the purpose and objectives of SSIET.
The meeting went on with Dr. Chua Hong words of encouragement.
The AGM went on with Jo-Ho's report on the previous conducted activities.
Then, previous SSIET treasurer, Melvin Wee, briefed the audience on the club treasury report. From his report, it seemed that SSIET managed to earn some profits through the activities conducted.
Later on, Mr. Christopher Tan shared his secret on winning the Present Around the World Competition to the audience.
The climax of the event was when the ex-committee received their certificates from Dr. Chua for helping the club organise the events and activities. The highlight of the ceremony was the BROMANCE between Caleb Law and Dr. Chua. Calob Law is going to graduate soon. He was scared that he might miss Dr Chua afterwards, so he gave Dr Chua a big hug, a true BROMANCE. Thank you all for your services!
The AGM ended up with the group photo...
And also some light refreshments.
Almost forgot, there were two SSIET members joining the Engineer Without Borders campaign. They were Caleb Law and Johnson Kelen Angel. They shared their thoughts and experience on the campaign itself during the refreshment time.
The End.
