On the 2nd May 2018, SSIET On Campus organized a Site Visit to Sejingkat Power Plant Sdn Bhd with a total number of 22 participants. The site visit is meant to expose the participants to technical aspects of power generation.
The activities that occurred in this event are as follow:
1:25 pm
Participants gathered at Block A’s lobby of Swinburne Sarawak. Attendance were taken and the participants were asked to fill the indemnity form.
1:30 pm
Participants departed from Swinburne University of Technology, Sarawak Campus by bus.
2:00 pm
Arrival at Sejingkat Power Corporation. Participants were each given a visitor pass by the security officers and then were lead to the Exhibition room at the Admin building.
2:20 pm
Mr. Kuan gave a welcoming speech to all the participants. The participants were first briefed on the OHSA at the plant and later on were then provided an introduction and history on Sejingkat Power Corporation.
3:30 pm
Before entering the plant, the participants were given toilet break and were provided light refreshments by the management.
3:35 pm
The participants were formed into 2 groups due to overwhelming number of participants. Each group was led by an operator to have a tour around the plant.
4:30 pm
Participants were brought back to the Exhibition room once the tour had ended. Everyone were then told to gather at the lobby of the admin building to take a group photo.
4:45 pm
The participants boarded the bus and departed for Swinburne University of Technology, Sarawak Campus.
5:30 pm
The bus arrived at Swinburne University of Technology, Sarawak Campus.
