Swinburne Sarawak had organized an event called “Pi – Kahoot!” on the 14th of March 2019 in conjunction with the Pi Day Celebration. The event was collaborated with IEM Swinburne Sarawak. This event was aimed to increase the public awareness about the mathematical constant π (pi) and to establish students’ learning skills as well as to establish a good rapport with IEM. The concept for Pi Day this year was different from that of last year. Kahoot system was utilized and whoever answers the questions fastest and accurate will become the winner. The Kahoot quiz is based on the mathematical constant Pi, covering its history, digits, application, concepts, and so on. Many Swinburne students had visited the SSIET Pi Day booth on that day. Students can either join the quiz by register on the spot or register via google form that was posted online. The questions were projected on the screen so that the participants can use their phones or tablets to answer. Prizes were given out to the top 5 winners. These prizes included RM20, RM15 and RM10 in cash for the top 3 winners and John’s pie vouchers for the top 5 winners.
